Big week this week at QPE ADVANCED MACHINING with the completion of a new room to house our latest bit of kit, a HEXAGON METROLOGY GLOBAL S PERFORMANCE CMM with strokes of 2.2m x 1.2m x 1.0m.
This is our 4th in-house Coordinate Measuring Machine and with the growth of this business, and the advent of our certification to AS9100D, we required the ability to perform precision measurement on even larger components.
The room has accurate temperature and humidity data logging as well as an electric retracting roof to allow craneage of large parts onto the granite table of the machine.
